One of the primary activities of GEMCare Health Plan is to take the necessary steps to assure that the medical care services provided to members is safe, effective, and meets community and national standards.
GEMCare Health Plan does this by developing and monitoring a Quality Improvement Program (QIP). The QIP specifically looks at all aspects of quality health care as services are provided to members – making sure the providers of care are appropriately credentialed, making sure that services are delivered promptly and conveniently, and by making sure the provided care meets current standards of excellence.
As we monitor the QIP, the Plan can quickly identify problems and deal with them in a timely and effective manner. Our primary purpose is to make sure that appropriate care is provided at the appropriate time in an appropriate manner to you. We want you to receive the best care possible.
